Vario 3D

Ziehm has always been the leader in mobile X-ray imaging technology. With the creation of the Vario 3D, Ziehm has set themselves apart from the competition once again. The Vario is the only C-Arm on the market with 3D imaging capability while retaining the same size and functions of a standard C-Arm. This design allows the Vario to be utilized in all clinical settings throughout the day.

The Vario 3D features an innovative variably isocentric C-Arm movement based on key technology for future clinical needs. Its virtual mechanics is the basis for highly efficient intraoperative 3D imaging applied in operative orthopedics, traumatology, neurosurgery and everything that is related to the future field of Computer Aided Surgery (CAS).

The horizontal, vertical and orbital movements of the Vario are motor driven. Once the lateral and AP positions have been defined, the isocenter is maintained throughout the 135° rotation of the C-arm. The isocentric movement can be controlled manually, semi-automatically, or fully automatically during a 3D imaging procedure. The Vario can also maintain isocenter during a 2D scan in Iso-Mode, and can be controlled manually or automatically.

    Key Features:
o Versatility - The Vario 3D can be used for both standard 2D and advanced 3D applications, thus achieving a higher capacity utilization rate.
o Variable Isocentric - The isocenter is adjustable to different patient positions.
o Isocenter is maintained during 2D Iso-Mode and 3D imaging by horizontal, vertical and orbital motorized movements.
o Variable image intensifier / object distance - Ensures flexibility, a larger image field and careful dose management as the patient can be positioned close to the I.I.
o Smart mechanical design - All functions for conventional fluoroscopy are included without compromises, thus making the Vario 3D a highly cost-effective solution for any hospital.
o Volume & slice views - Comprehensive display options like volume rendering and MPR (multiplanar reconstruction) make the C-Arm the surgeons "third eye".
o Intuitive TFT touch screen - Mounted on the mobile stand, it provides logical guidance to the entire isocentric functionality, right at the fingertips of the surgeon.
