Ziehm was the first to introduce C-arms equipped with Flat-Panel Digital Detectors. The Vision RFD is the latest innovation from Ziehm designed to provide the same advantages once only possible with fixed interventional suites.
The detector size on the Vision RFD is 30cm x 30cm. When compared to a conventional 12” image intensifier, the Vision RFD provides a field of view that is 1.5 times greater for vastly superior peripheral visualization. This means the operator does not need to maneuver the C-arm as much during procedures to show the surgeon region of interest improving workflow.
Image quality is always a main concern when comparing C-arms. The Vision RFD combines over 16,000 shades of gray, a 1.5k image matrix and distortion-free imaging to make visualization of the smallest structures pristine and anatomically correct.
Dose reduction should be a factor as well. The Vision RFD is equipped with a true pulsed generator that can pulse from 1-25 pulses per second in all fluoroscopic modes. It is also equipped with ODDC which automatically adjusts the pulse technique to provide optimal image quality at the lowest possible dose.
Another key concern of C-arm imaging is heat management. Ziehm’s unique Advanced Active Cooling system is a standard feature on the Vision RFD that provides a 5,000,000 heat unit capacity. You will not have to worry about this C-arm overheating during long procedures.
The Vision RFD has broken down the barriers associated with mobile C-arms. It is truly a mobile interventional suite.
