Since 1986 Image Diagnostics, Inc. has built a strong reputation for manufacturing specialized equipment products for the medical imaging community. The company’s focus is on mechanical and electromechanical solutions for fluoroscopic and digital radiographic imaging applications. IDI is headquartered in a modern 38,000 square foot facility in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, USA. Over 1,200 imaging tables and over 2,000 suspension systems are installed worldwide.
IDI has a history of innovative design that makes our products not only easy to use but install and maintain. For example, shortly after we produced our first monitor suspension we introduced our “easy mount” clip-based ceiling rail. Prior to that, rails had to be drilled, often on site, and then bolted to the ceiling. A simple IDI innovation changed all that. IDI’s clip—mount rail design is now in use by most major medical imaging OEMs for ceiling rail installation.
Innovation is also evident in IDI’s imaging table designs. Our long but low-profile wheel base provides exceptional table stability and safety while greatly reducing the weight of the table, thereby making IDI tables easy to move and maneuver. Rather than use “off-the-shelf” aluminum lift columns for table elevation, as do our competitors, IDI incorporated a lift column of our own design that resulted in exceptional strength and durability in a compact and sleek table pedestal that allows for a very large, unencumbered imaging area.
